Silk Jackets and Long Vests

We will be offering several styles of jackets - some in raw silk and several in the lighter silk crepe. There are numerous different designs available. The raw silk cropped kimono jacket measures 30" from shoulder to hem. The pocketed raw silk jacket "Counting Stars" measures 34 " from shoulder to hem. The silk crepe caftans are 34" from shoulder to hem. Our two new vests are similar to the cropped kimono but are sleeveless and measure 34" shoulder to hem.

#2 RAW SILK CROPPED KIMONO STYLE
(30" shoulder to hem)
This free-size jacket is made of a tweed-like noil (100% heavy raw silk fabric). It features wide sleeves that extend just below the elbow . The hemlength is midthigh. The jacket has a 2" black edging on either front panel and around the neck, The jacket is fully lined with 100% silk.

"Grey Skies"
Jacket is based on a painting by Irene Klar inspired by the tribes of the Northwest coast - the Haida and Kwakiutl. It features woven split spruce root hats and a dugout painted canoe typical of the region. The jacket is made of 100% Indian raw silk and the image is painted by hand on the garment.

The jacket is fully lined. Fits sizes 6 - 20.

Purple Hills
Jacket is based on a painting by Irene Klar inspired by the Pueblo tribes of Arizona and New Mexico, their weaving, their pottery and the beautiful landscape of the region. The jacket is made of Indian raw silk and is hand painted with artwork by Irene Klar.

The garment is fully lined in black silk.

#3 SILK CREPE CAFTAN STYLE
(34" shoulder to hem)
This 100% silk crepe flowing caftan features long narrow sleeves and is "just to the knee" in length. The garment is a free-size, loose fitting and unstructured. The painted silk billows with rainbow colours.
